 KMS is centrally located on the ground floor of the YMCA at Wandegeya, easily accessible by public transport with secure parking and the use of the YMCA canteen. The attractive purpose-built school has 7 soundproofed rooms for teaching and practice, a classroom and a library of sheet music and recordings. Each room has a piano, one has an organ, and a number of instruments are available for hire. 

 

  

KMS provides teachers in an increasing number of Kampala schools, both Ugandan and international, and is proud to be involved in a project teaching street boys to play in a brass band and learn music theory.

 

 

KMS can arrange for workshops in voice, instrumental and theory teaching, conducting and choir training.

 

 

 

KMS organises student concerts and opera performances, giving its students at all levels the opportunity to perform before an audience. KMS also facilitates performances by visiting artists. A grand piano can be hired, subject to negotiation.

 
The KMS bursary scheme aims to ensure that no talented, motivated student is turned away through lack of finance. Support and good will, as well as help with fundraising, will continue to be much appreciated.
