Simon Yiga is the Uganda Representative for the ABRSM (UK). He has many years' teaching experience in Nairobi , at Moshi International School in Tanzania , and at Lincoln and Kabira International Schools in Kampala , and has successfully entered numerous candidates for instrumental and theory exams of the ABRSM

 

 

 

 

KMS teachers are qualified with ABRSM Grade 8, performing and teaching Diplomas or equivalent experience. The Director is responsible for linking students to the appropriate teacher.

 

 

Information about fees for tuition, practice and hire of instruments is available at KMS. The KMS bursary scheme aims to ensure that no talented, motivated student is turned away through lack of finance. Support and good will, as well as help with fundraising, will continue to be much appreciated.

 

 

 

  Kampala Music School (KMS), which opened in 2001, has become the centre of excellence in Uganda for the teaching and learning of classical music and from 2004 Jazz.
